Austin Art Council Planning Meeting for 2019-2020,

A few committed, enthusiastic participants generated an exciting set of creative possibilities for Art in Austin. A public school teacher, an art therapist and an IT specialist were among the participants in the main room of the Austin architectural gem anchored by Catholic Charities.

Achievements of the Austin Art Council over the last 18 months were reviewed.

  • Austin Art Council Planning Meeting, September
  • 2nd Annual Art and Architecture in Austin, October

Suggestions posed by participants for consideration by the Austin Art Council included:

  • Putting emphasis on art as therapy
  • Increasing the number of stakeholder participants
  • Creating vehicles for scaling up the work of individual artists through collaboration
  • Providing technical assistance for artists
  • Identifying sources for sustainable funding for the Austin Art Council
